A narcissistic indulgence photographing life from my seat on the train of life.

Canada is golden - #53
So this morning I am sipping my Tims cooking my Canadian bacon with Canada winning gold in the back ground, I thought of taking a picture but did not bother but then Gordon Lightfoot shuffled his way onto my ipod and I could not resist documenting my Canadian moment.

surprise - #49
The bff came from Ottawa to surprise me with a visit.
And by surprise I mean hid in my house and jumped out in my living room when I came home...much screaming occurred.
After the squealing died down we immediately had coffee and picked up right where we left off six months ago.

makeover shmakeover - #32
Today I had a makeover...
No filters on my camera.
No editing ... well I cropped both pics to make the collage.
No make up, no wardrobe changes, no fancy underwear that sucks things in and smooths things out.
This first pic is just a straight up picture ... whatever.
The second picture I opened my window let in the natural light and turned toward the sun.
I happen to be a Christ follower so that has double entendre for me.
I am focused and peaceful when I keep turned toward The Son.
I took a deep breath, a step back, straightened my shoulders, lifted my chin and smiled.
Oh I also pulled up my jeans.
Muffin tops are not naturally occurring people, its the effing jeans that are to blame.
A deep breath to focus.
A step back for perspective.
Straight and strong shoulders to carry the "load".
A chin held high, both classy and sassy.
And a smile...its just easier, it really is.
