#334 all grown up

So 14 years ago we gave out little saplings to our wedding guests.   

This year we cut down one of those grown up saplings for our Christmas tree. 

 Its a bit flimsy and a more than a little curvy but we love it.

I am learning that people do not see the world the same way I do.

The picture above is my attempt at an example.

I go through my day seeing life in shapes and colour, light and shadows.

I see elephants in trees, faces in rocks and wood grains, inspiration in reflections.  

 Every shape is a piece of a bigger shape and my mind is easily distracted by the possibilities of all these wonderful shapes and colours surrounding me.

I am not simple.  I am not a flake. 

 I am busy being present yet simultaneously getting lost in the future possibilities I am constantly seeing around me.

Be patient with the artists in your life. 

Take the time to encourage them and your world might become a little more colourful
